Located in southeastern Pennsylvania, Surly Hedgehog Photography & Design began nearly ten years ago with a glance at a photo of our beloved hedgehog Kaiya. Although this precious pricklebutt is no longer with us, our memories of her and our passion for sharing our work with others inspires us to keep picking up our cameras.

Our images are captured with both film and digital cameras; within our galleries you will see pictures that were taken on 35mm and medium format films, digital IR cameras, even through a telescope. We have a minimalist view when it comes to image processing so you can be sure that the image you are viewing is as close to the original as possible.
